This list produces an additional memorial in Kirkwall- the Peedie Kirk, the United Reformed (formerly Congregational) Church.

See WMR report 76270.

It is a marble tablet with lead lettering. Of the 9 names, 4 are Canadian and 2 are Mercantile Marine

TO THE GLORY OF GOD AND IN MEMORY OF/MEN ASSOCIATED WITH THIS CHURCH/WHO MADE THE SUPREME SACRIFICE/IN THE GREAT WAR 1914-1918/[names]/"UNTIL THE DAY BREAK!"

Perhaps surprisingly there is only one Donald Morgan on the Canadian Virtual War Memorial in WW1.

Private MORGAN, D. Service Number 420767. 43rd Battalion, Canadian Infantry.
Died 04/12/1917
LAPUGNOY MILITARY CEMETERY
Location: Pas de Calais, France.
Born 1884 in Orkney. NoK. father Alexander of Kirkwall.
