Anyone come across these brothers on a memorial - anywhere?????

They are named on the family grave in Achnabreck Cemetery, Lochgilphead here: http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?p=76232#76232

Dugald enlist in Dunblane, Perthshire while James enlisted in Dumfries and is named on the Dalton Parish War Memorial in Dumfriesshire.

Ken,

James features in the Ardrishaig RoH book but I am not seeing Dugald.

I'll contact Hugh Macrae who provided the photos as it appears I've loaded them a bit of a jumble and there might be pages missing.

Thanks for that Mark.
That has answered one question I had about why James was down here.
There were a number of "big hooses" in the area which would have had a butler. I just surprised that he didn't warrant a mention in the local press.
It's also a bit odd that James (and possibly Dugald) get a mention in the Ardrishaig Roll of Honour but don't seem to be included on any War Memorial in that area.
Dugald doesn't seem to get a listing anywhere Crying or Very sad

Ken

This might be a wild goose chase but in the 1911 Census there is a 19 year old Dugald McGregror who was born in Ardrishaig and who is recorded as working as a footman at Castlebank House in Lanark. The Houldsworth family who owned the house also owned Coltness Ironworks.
