Anyone come across these brothers on a memorial - anywhere?????
They are named on the family grave in Achnabreck Cemetery, Lochgilphead here: http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?p=76232#76232

Thanks for that Mark.
That has answered one question I had about why James was down here.
There were a number of "big hooses" in the area which would have had a butler. I just surprised that he didn't warrant a mention in the local press.
It's also a bit odd that James (and possibly Dugald) get a mention in the Ardrishaig Roll of Honour but don't seem to be included on any War Memorial in that area.
Dugald doesn't seem to get a listing anywhere _________________ Ken |

Ken
This might be a wild goose chase but in the 1911 Census there is a 19 year old Dugald McGregror who was born in Ardrishaig and who is recorded as working as a footman at Castlebank House in Lanark. The Houldsworth family who owned the house also owned Coltness Ironworks.
