Not sure where St Cuthbert's church was exactly, but certainly in Lockerbie. St Cuthbert's closed in about 1988 and the memorial was moved to its present location inside Dryfesdale Parish Church, Lockerbie.

OS Map Ref: NY 137 818

This memorial is not listed on UKNIWM

If you use a little imagination, there is more than the usual snapshot of history in this memorial. It is a pre-printed Roll of Honour (presumably these could be bought easily at the time), but instead of recording those who served as would be usual, it seems to have been used for recording just those who died. The entries are all in date order (except for one missing in action who was added later). Circumstantially, I think this was displayed throughout the war with names added as the deaths occurred.

At the end of the war a bronze plaque memorial (UKNIWM 44188) was created. This Roll of Honour has 30 names whereas the plaque has 32.

I did not get a chance to photograph 44188 or the other memorials inside Dryfesdale church because it was in use when I visited so I only got those in the entrance. This one is halfway up the stairs.

I see the three FALSIDE brothers are named on the roll. Their mother lived in Lockerbie.
