Husband of Jessie Hutchison Chapman.

Likely to be James Forsyth Gibson, awarded the MC when Acting Captain, 26th Field Company, Royal Engineers.

JAMES KING McPHERSON, M.M. died 21st January 1976 aged 55 years
Son of James and Sarah W. McPherson (nee MacDonald)

No. 2076927 Acting Lance Sergeant James King McPherson was serving in 554 Field Company, Royal Engineers when he was awarded the Military Medal.

Died 10th October 1962 aged 76 years
Husband of Sarah Cherry.

There are 12 First World War recipients of the Military Medal so it has unfortunately not been possible to identify his service details without further information.

JAMES PATERSON, died at Basra Military Hospital 20th December 1919 aged 23
Son of James and Isabella Paterson (nee Gilmour)

This man may have had no military connection apart from the fact he died in a Military Hospital.

Husband of Nan Pettigrew

Likely to be No.2985705, Private James Williamson, 7th Bn Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders, who was awarded the Military Medal in the London Gazette dated 14/9/43. It was awarded for his actions during the battle at Wadi Akarit.
