The name JAMES SYRIA caught my eye Confused

Born 1895 in Biggar, he enlisted on 24 September 1915 and served as Private (22396) in the Cameronians (Scottish Rifles) and as Private (12319) in the Machine Gun Corps. He was discharged on 24 July 1918 and awarded a Silver War Badge (488961)
James died, aged 32, in 1928 at Shotts, Lanarkshire and so is not on the CWGC Register.
