Hi,

After several years of researching the 130 men commemorated on the Inverkeithing WW1 memorial, I am posting the names of the 3 men I have so far been unable to identify:

William Pryde
William Donaldson
John Petrie

I would be very grateful to anybody who may have information leading to their identification.

Rgds,
Alex

Alex.
William Donaldson KOSB killed in action 19 July 1916.
I have a birth cert for a Peter McCallum Donaldson who was born on 12 May 1916 at Chapel Place Inverkeithing.
Father is William Donaldson house painter (Private 6th Batt KOSB no 16143) domicil 60 Smeaton Street Kirkcaldy.
Mother Christina Donaldson ms McCallum.
They were married on 16 Sept 1913 in Inverkeithing.

I am sure he is also on Kirkcaldy memorial. A check on the Kirkcaldy Fallen book should confirm this.

Will email you certificate.

Hi John,

Many thanks again for your great help - after many years it now looks like I have only John Petrie to identify.

Rgds,
Alex
