Grace Sharp is commemorated on Dunblane War Memorial, Perthshire.
She died at Montrose Royal Infirmary on 2nd March, 1918 whilst serving with the Woman's Army Auxiliary Corps. This is corroborated by an entry in Soldier's Effects Register.
Her obituary from the local newspaper;
STIRLING OBSERVER: 09.03.1918
YOUNG WOMAN'S MILITARY FUNERAL
On Wednesday afternoon the remains of a local girl in the W.A.A.C., Miss Grace Sharp, daughter of Mr and Mrs Sharp, Millrow, was interred in Dunblane Cathedral Graveyard. The deceased, who was 19 years of age, died in Montrose Royal Infirmary, and a detachment of soldiers accompanied the coffin from Montrose to the graveyard. Miss Sharp's fellow members of the local Girl Guides also attended the funeral in uniform. A year or two ago Miss Sharp received an award for saving the life of a child from drowning. At Montrose on the way from the Infirmary to the railway station with the corpse, en route from Dunblane, detachments of the W.A.A.C. from Hillside, and from the corps attached to the Royal Flying Corps, along with a detachment of men and the pipe band from Hillside, took part in the obsequies. Colonel A. J. Campbell, senior chaplain, Tay Defences, conducted the service at the Infirmary.
Her case was submitted today for consideration. Hopefully see the young lady rightfully commemorated in due course.
Mark

Well done Mark - you are on a roll
Just in case it helps, the 20th (Reserve) Battalion of the HLI was formed at Ripon in October 1915 from depot companies of 18th Bn.
On 1 September 1916 it was converted into 79th Training Reserve Battalion in 18th Reserve Brigade at Montrose, as shown on the Soldiers effects.
