If anyone has the Peebles War memorial CD-Rom can they please check if the J. Dick listed under Manor on the Peebles memorial is
this James Dick killed at Gretna? I have a note that he has a Lamancha connection.

DICK, James
Private, 568,
1/7th Bn Royal Scots.
Killed 22nd May 1915
Son of James Dick of Leith
Buried Roseburn Cemetery, Edinburgh

Regards

Adam

Is the J Dick on the CD. Only one involved with Gretna was Corporal T Brown who lost the sight of his right eye.
Aye

Adam,
From memory there was a "James Dick" and possibly his brother listed on the Galashiels War Memorial - KOSB I think.
