Additional Information:Son of Lt. Col. N. Mitchell and Mary Mitchell, of Maryville, Tarbert.

Their father Alexander Mitchell J.P. Lt. Col. Retired - Alexander Mitchell was commisioned on 7th July 1880 with the rank of 2nd Lieut Volunteer Forces 1st Argyll Artillery Corps. Alexander and his men attended the 'Wet Review' at Edinburgh August 1881.
