I am including this one because it is a product of the talented Scots sculptor Alexander Carrick. I know how much thought went into the fine detail of the surroundings of this monument - the wall, the railings, the steps - so it is distressing to see the amount of street furniture cluttering up the immediate area today. It is impossible to get a decent general photograph without bus shelters and street lighting intruding. I include a photograph from the artist's studio.

Pvt. George Sinclair Wilson, Royal Scots (nephew of Mr James Sinclair, Airlie Street), who has been posted wounded and missing since 23rd July 1916, is now considered killed in action.
The deceased was 22 years of age; was employed as the teller of the Commercial Bank, Eyemouth, went to London on relieving work, and joined up there.
He was a fine type of soldier and a man, and a general favourite with all who knew him.

It's also probably worth having this memorial on the forum for the large numbers of Berwick men who served in Scottish Regiments. Men listed on the Tweedsmouth and Spittal War memorials also appear on this memorial so if anyone has any other Berwick memorials they should include them here.

I have cast about Berwick but have found nothing more. The Parish church has nothing and, amazingly, the K.O.S.B. barracks has nothing.

Apart from the main memorial in Berwick two other smaller community memorials can be found. One at Tweedsmouth and the other at Spittal. Most of the names on these two memorials can also be found on the main memorial.

According to the North-East War memorials project there are several memorials in Berwick. Check them out here:

They’ve got a drop down list of towns and Berwick has many listed.

There are also these memorials in Berwick with a Scottish connection which we’ve got listed on the Outside Scotland list. Most of this list has been compiled from the NEWMP list. Note that there is a memorial room within the barracks. It looks like if you don't see the memorial room you'll not see any memorials!

I see. I did go to the barracks and specifically asked whether there were any memorials there at all. I was told 'no'.
