The record of soldiers effects shows that John's effects went to his mother Mrs Catherine Blair

John is the brother of Hector Blair who is also on the memorial

Both brothers are also on the West Kilbride Memorial

The 1901 Scottish census has an entry for a Wallace family at Holmenkollen Private House, South Beach Raod, West Kilbride, Old Ardrossan - father Thomas, widower; son Thomas age 13; daughters Margaret and Mary Milligan. The family were all born in Ardrossan

The record of soldiers effects shows Thomas' war gratuity paid to his sister Margaret at his fathers request.

Tom is also on the Ardrossan memorial

Alexander's service record shows his age as 22 years 251 days when he enlisted on 14 September 1914. Next of kin was his mother Jane Ann living at 23 Montgomerie Street, Ardrossan. He is described as 5’8½” tall, 114 lbs, Fresh complexion, grey eyes and light brown hair

Alexander is also on the Ardrossan Memorial
