I went in and asked about using The Pod in the Local Studies at Rosemount Viaduct.
I said I wanted to use my laptop and give out WWI info nearer November.
I have got a date of 27th October and will be there from 14.00 to 16.00.
I hope I can give people time to do extra research before Armistice.

I picked up a couple of the wee booklets.
Researching Your WWI Ancestors with Local Studies.
Free drop-in session.
I hope to give out info and maybe get snippets from the folk who turn up.
Roll on the 27th October...

I had high hopes when I arrived at the "pod" a lady was seated waiting for me 20 minutes before time. She watched with interest as set up computer and laid out paperwork. My forms and a pencil inside the pod.
Outside I arranged for a desk to lay out free to take info. I then used the next desk for reference only laying out a couple of files and leaflets.
The library had said WWI and I only had one lad who wanted deaths during that time. Many turned up wanting me to help with men who survived so I managed to give out info on where to look next.
