The parks dept. at Rozelle House are developing an area where they have cleared some trees and shrubbery. This about half way round the pond and we chanced upon it yesterday during a visit to Rozelle House.
The tree trunks have been carved "in situ" and are amazing. The photographs don't do them justice.
See and judge for yourselves. At present they have no captions.

At the moment, the whole area resembles a battle field with trenches, muddy areas, shattered trees and bushes. perhaps the plan is to leave it this way to resemble the war time conditions on "the front"
It is well worth a visit! |

Very interesting. I hate to crticise something that obviously takes a lot of skill to create but the Highlander looks like someone's idea of what he should look like rather than being based on any photographic evidence!
A great effort though and I'm being very picky about such a great project.
