Note Pte Matheson died serving in 2/4th Australian MG Bn in the second World War. So did Pte William Mackay of Golspie. It surely can be no coincidence that these two men from less than 10 miles apart in Sutherland died in the same Australian unit.

Christine Stokes very kindly forwarded me this images of Rogart War memorial. Christine has her own website about Sutherland which is full of helpful information for genealogists and has lots of photos of gravestones including war graves.

The website is http://www.countysutherland.co.uk/
