Another soldier from the Wigtown War Memorial where I have only been able to get sketchy info so I hope someone can help me.

Name: William Paton
Rank: Private
Number: M/401864
Died: 19 February 1919
Age: 42
Buried: Wigtown Parish Church cemetery

Eldest son of William and Annie Paton, 15 North Main Street, Wigtown. Born at Barrachan. Died at Cambuslang War Hospital. His grave is within yards of the War Memorial. The grave stone is the standard issue type but the family headstone next to it also has a memorial inscription to him, though, sadly, it is broken.

Can anyone help me with cause of death, length of service etc. please? Thanks very much.

http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=64834670 states that he was actually born at Bladnoch.

Just returning to this chap. I have now seen the record of his death at Cambuslang War Hospital. Cause of death is given at "305 D.A.H. 2 months". Does anyone have any idea what this means?

Disordered Action of the Heart - a combination of over exertion, mental stress and fatigue.
