1901 Census Perthshire, Kilmadock, Drummore Farm, recorded (transcription):- William D. Maclaren (7), Scholar, son, born Kilmadock; William D. Maclaren (46), Farmer, born Kilmadock; Mary S. (sic) Maclaren (36), Wife, born Perths., Kincardine; siblings.
Family at same address for 1891 Census. Head of family - William Downie McLaren.

Mother's maiden surname Forrester.
