The "Australian Imperial Force Embarkation Roll" and "Roll of Honour" show that James was killed in action; embarked on 4 September 1916 from Sydney on HMAT A15, Port Sydney; Age at embarkation 25; living at Verner Street, Coulburn, New South Wales; next of kin mother Margaret.
There are several family trees on ancestry with James and his family which show he was born on 1 February 1990 in West Kilbride; his parents married and in Saltcoats and his father died in Saltcoats
James is also on the Saltcoats memorial

Ive been updating my research lists on the memorials.
