Sergeant Peter McNeil.

Falkirk Herald, 1st July 1917, ‘Killed in Action’
On Wednesday, Miss Dougall, Woodlea House, Bonnybridge, received intimation that Sergeant Peter McNeil, who, prior to enlistment, was in her employment as a chauffuer, had been killed in action. Sergeant McNeil was 29 years of age and a native of Islay. He enlisted in the Black Watch eighteen months ago, and later was transferred to the Royal Engineers. A comrade, writing to Miss Dougall, states that Sergeant McNeil was killed while gallantly leading the men in a trench heavily shelled by the Germans.

As well on this memorial, he is also listed on Bonnybridge Civic Memorial, see (as Royal Highlanders):

Thanks Ken,

I saw that entry wasn't sure it was definately the right one. The address put me off a wee bit.

I have no idea why he's commemorated at Killearn unless (as he worked for the G.P.O.) he was maybe a postie?

I haven't been able to find anything about Kinning Park School either.
