Robert Harkness has very kindly provided the following information.
It was originally located outside the Village Hall on Main street in 1920. Date of relocation is however unknown

CURRIE.- Died on 15th. April from wounds received in action, Pte. Thos. Y. Currie, younger son of the late John Currie, M.R.C.V.S., Kilmarnock and Mrs. Wardrop, Gills (?) Farm, Dunlop, and brother of Mrs. Dell (?), 16, Findlay Street, Glasgow."
SDGW - Born Kilmarnock; enlisted Glasgow.
Not listed on Kilmarnock War Memorial.
