"It was learned in Kirkcaldy yesterday that Private David Simpson, Kirkcaldy, National Reserves, had met his death under tragic circumstances at Brighton, a the result, it is alleged, of having been knocked down by a blow delivered by a private in the same company. Simpson was employed before the outbreak of war as a lithographer with the Alloa Lithographic Company, Kirkcaldy."
