Not listed on UKNIWM
This is one of three unlisted memorials inside Rhonehouse Village Hall at OS Map Ref NX 742 597. The memorial does not identify those who died, although they are included amongst the names. Comparison with the Rhonehouse WW1 memorial should help.

Spoons recently reminded me of this Roll and it has solved a puzzle that has been bugging me for a while.
I ran across an item in the Dumfries and Galloway Standard (20/4/1918 page 2e) reporting the death of Private Clark Carter, of the Royal Scots, of Copland St. Dalbeattie. His father was Andrew Carter of Threave Mains and he had served for three years in the Ayrshire Yeomanry before transferring to the Royal Scots.
I couldn't find him anywhere.
Near the top of the left column of this Roll is Carter, N. P. Clark - Corporal Royal Scots.
NAYHUM PARKER CLARK CARTER (No, Really!) was born 26 November 1890 at Threave Mains in Balmaghie Parish, Kirkcudbrightshire. Son of Andrew and Helen (Walburn) Carter.
Threave Mains is near Threave Castle but on the far bank of the River Dee which divides Balmaghie from Kelton Parish (Rhonehouse).
SNWM has him as NAHAM PARKER CLARK CARTER, Private 270187 Royal Scots. Formerly 2049 Ayrshire Yeomanry.
CWGC has him as GRAHAM PARKER CLARK CARTER, Private 270187 11th Bn. Royal Scots. Died 27/3/1918 and listed on the Pozieres Memorial.
His Medal Index Card has NAHUM P C CARTER
The Bridgestone (Balmaghie Parish) War Memorial has:
CPL. N P C CARTER - AYRSHIRE YEOMANRY

Stuart (Stewartry) tells me that the Kirkcudbrightshire Advertiser stated that he was the youngest of 8 children.
The 1891 census has 10 (!) including NPC's brother IVIE FERGUSON CARTER who was drafted, age 30, into the Canadian Army in August 1918.
He also is listed on the School Roll of Honour.
(On the census he is listed as Ivie F Carter - the 1st test tube baby???)
