This book lists Each day of the Great War the casualties of the RFC/RAF with the details of each aeroplane the squadron , and details of that action in the air of each flyer - Pilot and with an Observer and it either were casualties - killed , dof , missing or POW .

An early casualty I see is CAPT W CAMPBELL - ADAMSON 6 Sqn RFC ( Capt W Campbell -Adamson from CARESTON CASTLE , Forfarshire killed on 20th April 1916 .

also 2/ Lt Alexander Urquhart , a Scot , ( 20 Sqn RFC ) from Drumnadrochit and lived and worked in Inverness as a sheriff clerk . On both war memorials killed on 17th August 1917 . HLI and RFC .

also 2/Lt H.W.M. Mackay ( Gordon Highlanders & 18 Sqn RFC ) Observer killed 18 Sqn RFC on 8 March 1918 . from Aberdeen

and Lt P W Anderson , Black Watch & RFC & RAF wounded in action 18 Sqn RAF 27 June 1918 dow 2 Nov 1921 from Arbroath . listed on Arbroath war memorial etc .
