Just noticed that the four HLI men listed on the memorial were:
William Garrett, Corporal 1795, 10th HLI - MIA at Loos 25/9/1915.
David McGaw, Private 1796, 10th HLI - MIA at Loos 25/9/1915.
Charles Melvin, Private 1797, 10th HLI - MIA at Loos 25/9/1915.
and
John Hopkins, Lance Corporal 1798, 18th HLI - KIA 29/3/1918.

I'm guessing that John enlisted with the others and was transferred to the 18th HLI later?
