Mike

I think a couple have been unveiled in Scotland but we haven't had any on here as far as I know but it would be good if we get any to show its location and not just the slab itself.

Looks like there's gonna be a few doublers.

Jarvis has a stone at both Fraserburgh, his birthplace and Carnoustie, where he lived most of his life.

Charles Melvin will likely commemorated in both Kirrie and Craig parish, not Montrose, it's across the Esk.

Another "doubler" - he has a stone in Armadale (his place of birth) and Carluke (where he spent most of his life).

Looks like I'll need to update the list to reflect the stones which are laid in birthplaces and home towns.

Thanks gents

The royal navy website covered Samson's marker being unveiled in Carnoustie in April. Remarkably his son is still with us at 98 and attended the ceremony, a WW2 veteran himself.

According to council minutes Tollerton had his paving stone placed in Irvine High Street.

Some images at the following link.

So not commemorated in his place of birth, the nearby Hurlford.
