Hoping someone can help with this man. There are two men named James McIntyre on the Plean war memorial.
I've found one of them: a private in the Royal Scots Fusiliers, 7th Bn. - no. 15635. He died on 12th May 1916 and is commemorated on the Loos memorial. No idea how old he was, but he left a widow and 4 children.
However, I can't find anything on the second one. Any ideas please?
Tanya
PS There's also a William McIntyre, but no James in his family... |

A possible - maybe - perhaps
Surname McINTYRE
Forename James
Rank Cpl
Service number 7484
Decoration
Place of birth Stirling
Date of death 30 April 1916
Theatre of death F&F
Cause of death Killed in action
SNWM roll THE BLACK WATCH (ROYAL HIGHLANDERS)
Other detail 9th Bn.
CWGC - Also named on Loos Memorial but no next of kin details.
SDGW - does not give a place of residence but says enlisted Perth, and with that service number I wonder if he was a former soldier. _________________ Ken |
