Baberton Golf Club, Baberton Avenue

A notice in "The Scotsman" of 4th November 1921 states that the Club's war memorial was to be unveiled the next day at 3p.m. by Col. Prentice of the Highland Light Infantry.

Since the club still exists and they still play for the HLI Cup then there is no reason to believe it is not in the clubhouse today.

Interesting to see that as many members died at Gallipoli as died on the Western Front. Not surprising given so many of them were in the Queen's Edinburgh Rifles though.

Thanks
