I just found out today that there is a concrete arrow near the River Esk in Musselburgh which was built as a WW2 bombing range indicator for aircraft practicing in the Firth of Forth.
I will try and get down there as soon as I can to get a photograph. In the mean time if you plug in 55.94916 -3.04881 in Google Maps and choose the satelite option you can clearly see it from above.
Thanks

I should have added that there is a cairn at the Musselburgh arrow which we should record. I'm not suggesting that we start recording WW2 sites, only those that have a plaque commemorating their use during the war.
They were Bombing Range Approach Arrows and there is another surviving one at Skipness in Kintyre: http://goo.gl/maps/KSedb but I don't know if there is any memorial there.
Thanks

Thanks Ken. I'll have a good look through that list. The Tarbat Ness one would have been for the bombing range at RAF Tain
Cheers
