The art historian and critic, Duncan Macmillan, will be giving a free lecture about the design and creation of the Scottish National War Memorial, on Wednesday 6 August, from 12.45-1.30pm. The venue for this lecture is the Hawthornden Lecture Theatre (Gardens Entrance) at the Scottish National Gallery. I see it says "Free but ticketed: available on the door or in advance from the Information Desk at the National Gallery"

Perhaps it would be best to get a ticket in advance if in Edinburgh
