Mauchline - Cumnock & Doon Valley District

The Mauchline war memorial is constructed of red sandstone (presumably from the Aurshire quarries) with a tall column standing on a pedestal with Roman ionic capital crowned with an urn. A belt of bronze encirlcles the pedestal and is divided into panels with the names of the fallen of WWI. Two additional bronze panels bear the names of the fallen of WWII. The monument stands on the edge of the village at the junction of the Catrine Road.
