I hear from a friend that ABERDEEN CITY COUNCIL have an Exhibition at the ABERDEEN ART GALLERY on various 1914-1918 war memorials that they have in their possession that BELONGED to CLUBS and CHURCHES that are defunct and have been donated to the Aberdeen City Council .

One is of CULTS AND DISTRICT SPORTS AND RECREATION CLUB that lists the name of (Capt ) R L MACKINNON ( 4th Bn Gordon Highlanders )along with other names casualties of WW1

An interesting find re WW1 Memorials in and around Aberdeen

Thanks for bringing this up Pat. It would be great if a local or visitor could pop along and record which ones they have.
