Not listed on UKNIWM
Original location Woodlands church (OS Map Ref not known)
Current Location inside Wellington Church at OS Map Ref NS 570 667

This is a shiny memorial in a very dark corridor so difficult to photograph. If anyone wants the hi-res original to do a transcription, let me know. I also have another photo, not as good but it might help oveall.

RNVR names aren't that common on WW1 memorials.

HERBERTSON, JAMES DOUGALL
Rank:Lieutenant
Date of Death:30/11/1919
Age:39
Regiment/Service:Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve. H.M.M.L. "No. 378."
Panel Reference: 32.
Memorial: PORTSMOUTH NAVAL MEMORIAL
Additional Information: Son of James D. and Ann Eliza Neilson Herbertson, of Glasgow.

From Wikepedia

30 November – one of three Royal Navy Armed Motor Launches under the escort of a destroyer on passage from Queenstown to Southampton suffered from a disabled engine in heavy seas off Land's End. HM ML No 378 towing hawsers parted on two occasions and she drifted towards the Longships. Her crew of nine took to a dinghy which capsized and four of five were picked up by the Sennen lifeboat "Ann Newbon". Four other crew made it to the Longships and also rescued by the lifeboat.

It looks like Lt Herbertson was the only casualty of the foundering of HM Motor Launch No. 378

Cannot identify this man.

The 3rd Bn of each Scottish regiment was a home service reserve battalion. It may be this man never served overseas and he may be a non-comm? (or was discharged and is not elegible for CWGC commemoration)
