I see he is listed on the Polmont War Memorial. An A Burrell is listed on the Railway memorial in Waverley Station, Edinburgh. The same man?

SNWM has an Andrew (from Stow, Midlothian) and an Archibald (from Edinburgh) so chances are it's not Adam.

He is listed on the Channelkirk (his birthplace) Parish Church Memorial and on the Roll of Honour as Adam P Burrell.

Adam Pringle Burrell, born 1895 at Channelkirk, Berwick (SP)

Well he was a railwayman Adam - but with the Caledonian!

He is named on the Channelkirk Parish War Memorial in Oxton Village as:

ADAM P. BURRELL, PTE. G.H.
Adam Pringle Burrell – age 20 – Private (12952) 103rd Company, Machine Gun Corps.
Adam was employed at the Caledonian Railway Company Locomotive Department at Stirling when he enlisted in the Gordon Highlanders in June 1914. He joined the 2nd Battalion in France as Private (S/8112) in December 1915. He was wounded twice and was transferred to the MGC in February 1916. Adam's remains were recovered from the battlefield in November 1920.
Born 1895 in Channelkirk. Son of Adam and Agnes (Cowan) Burrell of Crossgatehead Farm, Brightons, Polmont and of Craigs, Polmont, Stirlingshire.
Killed in Action on 1 July 1916 and buried in Ovillers Military Cemetery, Somme, France.
Also named on the Brightons & Craigs section of the Polmont Parish War Memorial, on the Polmont Old Parish Church memorial and on the Caledonian Railway Company memorial in Glasgow Central Station.
