The UKNIWM records a First World War roll of honour for the Marine Engineers Association, Glasgow Branch.

The UKNIWM doesn't record a location, it has been added because they have a photograph of it. The SMRG now own a postcard photograph of this roll which I will scan and post here. It should be possible to make out all the names but we need to know where the roll was hanging after the war and if it is still in existence today.

I haven't been able to get a decent scan of this postcard yet. I am going to post it to David to see if he can get a better copy.
Thanks

Here is the scan. I've tried to zoom in on the names but the original print is very hard to read.
Four army names are noted as being killed in action. Five of the Royal Navy names have a blue star next to them. They are either Died in Service or Drowned in Service - I can't read the first word at the bottom of the roll. |
