From the article:
The first Scottish internationalist killed was Lieutenant Ronald Simpson who lost his life on 14 September 1914 on the Aisne on the Western Front in France.

Don't see him on CWGC or SNWM!

Different Spelling Different date The Glasgow Herald got it right.

He is listed as Simson on the Edinburgh Academy memorial.
But not on SNWM !!
