Firstly, I apologise if I have posted this in the wrong place - I can't decide whether it should be in the 'Memorial Discussion' thread or on the 'Roll of Honour' thread.

I don't know if the Greenhill School Roll of Honour was ever printed or whether it was simply a list kept by someone, however, the list was published in the Falkirk Herald on 27th March 1915.

It's not quite in a strict alphabetical order as there are a few names out of sequence which makes me think it might have been printed and the out of sequence names were added - otherwise the list could have been easily amended before it was submitted to the newspaper? Just guessing though.

The school was demolished years ago - I will try to find out when.

Anne - I think this might be your "Canadian", Robert Hannah. He seems to have survived the war.

and the other one, Duncan Finlay. Again he survived.

I think this is the right section for it - we don't have a record of a physical memorial so this is merely a record of a Roll of Honour.
