GUARDSMAN ( Pte) 15758 CHARLES SMITH CAMPBELL , 3rd Bn Scots Guards has in the last days been accepted on the SNWM : Scots Gurds Great War roll at the SNWM at the Castle in Edinburgh .

He is buried in Crathie old kirkyard with a CWGC headstone and he is now listed onthe SNWM .

Early this summer my wife and i were out for a day and stopped at Crathie Old Kirk and found Pte (Guardsman ) C S .Campbell , Scots Guards was not listed on the SNWM so I did a file to Lt Col RJ BInks , keeper of rolls at the SNWM and he in the recent days has accepted Guardsmann 15758 Charles Smith Campbell , 3rd Bn Scots Guards be listed on the Roll for the Great War.

The SNWM entry is :

CAMPBELL CHARLES SMITH Gdsm 15758 Scots Guards
Birth Aberdeen

Death 25th June 1917 UK Died fo Illness
3rd Bn , in Training in Aberdeen

I thank Lt Col Roger J Binks , Keeper of the Rolls , SNWM The Castle Edinburgh for his consideratiion of the facts and for accepting them from the documents
