One of numerous members of the Swinton line who died in service.


To the Glory of God
In Memory of
William Bentinck Swinton
Major Madras Light Cavalry
Killed 4th June 1876



Born 20th September 1835.

One online source says he died in India of a 'fall from his horse'.
