From Wikipedia: HMCS Prince David - Upon arrival in the Clyde in February, 1944, Prince David was taken to Clydebank for a final fitting out. After completion, Prince David and Prince Henry joined Combined Operations Command at Cowes, Isle of Wright.

James Wilson Cowe, Motor Mechanic, Chief Petty Officer, Royal Canadian Navy, aged 41, died of a "Supposed Coronery Thrombosis" on Ship No. 1757, Clydebank Shipyard. Usual Res. Edmonton, Alberta.
Parents (both deceased) are shown as Joseph, a fisherman, and Elizabeth Cowe m.s. Wilson.
