This man is remembered by plaques in neighbouring parishes.
In both cases, he is noted as nephew of an uncle who pre-deceased him.
(Whitchester is the local 'big house').
He also appears on:
* Longformacus civic memorial + roll
* Cranshaws Church roll
I include pictures & exteriors.

Brief update.
Longformacus Parish Church closed on 26th May 2013.
I'm told it has now been sold to a member of the congregation: that's what Langton & Lammermuir Kirk previously did with their buildings at Polwarth and Abbey St Bathans.
There are apparently no plans to remove any plaques/tablets.
As noted on their threads, the Rolls of Honours are now in the village hall. |
