I believe that the Perth W.M. Club in George St. , Perth has closed. I was in there last year during my 'Spring offensive' and there was a Brass Plaque commemorating Perth's fallen in the Great War (no names). It was busy at that time and I was unable to take a photograph.

Although the Perthshire Advertiser states that Perth W. M. Club is closing, the club was usually called the British Legion Club. On the photo of the plaque I can make out only the word British. Is Legion perhaps the word below that?

Yes. Some logos carry the text 'The Royal British' above the big cat (lion? leopard?) and the word 'Legion' below.

The organiation was founded in Scotland by Earl Haig as the The British Legion in 1921 which explains the wording on the plaque.
This came about due to a merger of four existing organisations. An organisation of the same name was later established in England.

Later on the ( Scotland ) ending was added. This became the The Royal British Legion ( Scotland) in 1971 due to a Royal Charter.

The emblem is a lion.

This is not the same club. The British Legion Club was in George Street. It was up a close between two parts of the former Cameron's furniture and carpet shop.

The Ex-Serviceman's Club still exists, I think. It is somewhere around Market Street, off Caledonian Road.
