It would appear that Reginald Gordon was born in Chile!

Aberdeen Journal 'Notes & Queries'
No 98, 2nd March 1910

David Stewart Ramsay Gordon, born at Woodside 25th August 1845. He married at the Inglesia Espiritu Santa, Valparaiso, Chili, 7th November 1877, Jane Clegg, daughter of Robert Clegg, of H.M. Exchequer, and died at Edinburgh on the 12th June 1905. He was very keenly interested in the history of his Gordon ancestors, and spent a great deal of time transcribing parish registers in search of them. He spent many summers at Ballater, and visited his Kinsman, Mr Alexander Forbes in Aberdeen, a good deal. He was fond of wearing a Gordon tartan kilt. He left an only son.
Reginald Clegg Gordon, born 26th September 1878 at Calle Monte Allegre, Chili; baptised 25th December 1878 at St Pauls Church Valparaiso; godfathers, Andrew Henderson and John W. Hardy, there. MB.CM., Edinburgh University in 1903. He married on the 10th June 1909, Barbara Mackenzie Morrison and resides at Lettach, Killiecrankie.

Listed on the Tenandry Church Memorial near Killiecrankie.

So is the middle initial on the memorial wrong, Glegg/Clegg?

Possibly wrong on the memorial and on CWGC too? Strange that both are making the same mistake. CWGC could be put down to a scanning error but if the memorial is also using G instead of C maybe that is what the IWGC recorded him as?

I hadn't noticed the Clegg/Glegg issue.
He's recorded as Reginald Glegg Gordon on scotlandspeople marriage index for 1909 - marrying Barbara "somebody" (not Morrison)
So it looks like the article is "iffy"

From http://www.gleig.ca/docs/Gleggs_from_Todstack_Farm_Stonehaven.pdf

He married Barbara MacKenzie MASSON, 10 Jun 1909 in High Church, Inverness, born 2 Apr 1874 in Kindrummond, Dores, Invernessshire, (daughter of John MASSON and Anne ROSE) died 6 Apr 1950 in St Andrews, buried in Top of family stone, St A, occupation Nurse.

So article is "iffy" - I should have guessed by the spelling of Chili. Rolling Eyes
