Visited St Margaret's Church, Forfar today. The congregational war memorial from the former St. James's Parish Church has been placed there. However, there was no sign of the memorial for Captain Myles.

I note that the book "Forfar & District in the War 1914-1919 " compiled by DM Mackie for the Forfar War Memorial Committee MCMXX1 has no mention of CAPT John Adam Whitson Douglas MYLES , HLI in the ROLL of HONOUR section of the book or in the ROLL OF SERVICE section of this publication

Listed on the SNWM index he has two entries : one for the HLI and the other Overseas forces

For a biography, see http://www.universitystory.gla.ac.uk/ww1-biography/?id=4007 and the University RoH: http://www.universitystory.gla.ac.uk/ww1-browse/?start=960&max=20&l=M

Also on the Fettes College war memorial.

Also listed on the plaques in the University of Glasgow Memorial Chapel.

Also on the Kelvinside Academy war memorial.

The website of the Douglas Park Golf Club, Bearsden says that they have a war memorial plaque in their clubhouse. Could CAPT John Adam Whitson Douglas MYLES be listed there too?
