Unlisted on the Postal Museum database.
Unveiled on Friday September 26th 1919 by Provost Rutherford Thomson. Postmaster T. Colman presided.
Of the 45 members of staff, men and women, 28 served and three died. The Roll of honour was crafted by a co-worker George Spink, who also served. Ten of those who volunteered did so the day after war was declared. Those on the roll who died have a cross beside their name, they are:
Chas. Carnegie, R.F.A.
Alex. Lindsay, Black Watch
Joseph McLeod, Black Watch
No local postie I've spoke to has ever seen this on the premesis.

It's certainly not listed in the post office archives database, but there again nor is Castle Douglas PO and I found that in the sorting office behind the coats!
With luck you might find a retired sorting office man who might shed some light on it.

Derek
Ive never heard of this war memorial in the town in Hill Street sorting office before .
What about a letter email to the Arbroath herald on this one too ? I remember in my youth from the BB's in the town that Carson Anderson ( no relative of mine ) was a Postie and ended up a few years ago as Manager there and he was in the papers re his retiral after 40 years in the arbroath post office sorting office and postie itself . He must live around Arbroath somewhere !
best wishes

Just heard back two minutes ago from a postie who kindly asked his fellow workers, there was a big clear out a few years ago and it was thrown out by mistake.
So case closed, definitely a lost memorial.

Very sad. Still worth a newspaper appeal I think. Someone may have recorded the names or even have a photo of it.
