I'm doing a talk on Thursday night - You're More Than A Number In My Little Red Book.
I will be doing a Power Point giving a group at the Bridge of Don info about researching WWI and how I collect names on local war memorials. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire. |

About forty people turned up. I had three table requested for my talk. One for the computer, one for leaflets and handouts then the other had books, pictures, medals and dead man's penny. I tend to keep my things on a different table so no-one can be in any doubt about things they can have.
The leaflets and other handouts were at the back of the hall so people can have the chance to browse without pressure.
The talk lasted an hour and not many took up the offer of Any Questions.
I then put on my database and did a few lookups. Then when I was clearing up I had a few people talking to me about researching etc. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire. |

I have a red file which is filled with my research on WWI so I thought it was time to do a PowerPoint which would let me share some of the information.
What is the first thing a soldier is asked name rank and number....
I want to find out more than that. I started with my great uncle and my interest has now grown. _________________ Researching WWI info from Aberdeenshire, Banffshire, Kincardineshire & Morayshire. |
