I noticed what seemed to be a small plaque on the bench - did it have anything to do with a commemoration?

I'm fairly sure it is not related but I will pop back and check sometime in the next few weeks.

(edit) checked back and the plaque is a memorial to a local and not related to any name on the memorial.

Mr Wm McCall MacMillan, of Lamloch, gave an endowment of £100 for the upkeep of the memorial."

Above details also sent to UKNIWM for their records.
