Got my copy but have only had a chance for a quick scan through it. A4 format, good quality printing and seems a good well researched book with great local biographical detail that you would never find online.
By my reckoning, this is the 20th War Memorial book to be published in Dumfries and Galloway in the last 12 years! How's that for evidence of an increasing public interest!

Today I received this excellently published Book on the PARISH OF KIRKMAHOE + KIRKMAHOE WAR MEMORIALS compiled & researched by Connie Davidson , John Williams & Morag Williams & edited by Morag Williams & published by Kirkmahoe Heritage Group.
ISBN 978-1-907931-17-8
Excellently published and printed with excellent paper and photographs in the researched material of 160 pages covering both WW1 and WW2 including ones not listed on the WW1 or WW2 war memorial names . The book covers casualties from various Regiments & Corps such as :
KOSB, Canadian Machine Gun Corps, Australian Infantry, The BLACK WATCH, Nottinghamshire Yeo Royal Armoured Corps , Seaforth Highlanders , Royal Scots, Cameronians ( Scottish Rifles), Machine Gun Corps, New Zealand Medical Corps , Highland Light Infantry, Gordon Highlanders , Royal Garrison Artillery, Mechanical Transport, Army Service Corp., Canadian Infantry, Royal Field Artillery,Canadian Light Infantry ,Australian Infantry AIE., Cameron Highlanders ,Scots Guards, RAMC., RAFVR.,RASC attached Royal Artillery, Parachute Regiment Army Air Corps ., Tank Regiment Royal Armoured Corps ., Royal Engineers,
I am very pleased with my purchase of this book that has recorded the Casualties of the two world wars that must of course have taken great time in the researches and then the final compilation of the book form that we now have to hand and for a good price and well worth purchasing .
It would appear that the sales of the print are doing excellently . I will now research each casualty to see if they are recorded on the Scottish National War Memorial website .
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM
