From earlier this year:

http://www.s1kilmaurs.com/news/town-set-to-remember-as-name-added-to-kilmaurs-war-memorial.html

Town set to remember as name added to Kilmaurs war memorial
8 February

Kilmaurs will remember as Cpl Alexander Herrall will be added to the town's war memorial
Another name will be added to Kilmaurs' war memorial on Saturday 16th February, when the ceremony to add Corporal Alexander Herrall to the roll will be held at 1pm.

The ceremony will mark the 60th anniversary of Corporal Herrall's death, when as a member of the Gloucester Regiment, he lost his life during the Korean War.

Rev Urquhart will conduct the service, attended by members of the local Royal British Legion, and members of Cpl Herrall's family, Kilmaurs Community Council, local schools, and hopefully a large turnout from the local community will also be welcomed at the ceremony.

The Gloucestershire Regiment captured Hill 327 on the date Corporal Herrall died.

Lance Corporal David Hind was killed on 2nd January 1977 at Crossmaglen.

I remember seeing Lance Corporal Hind's funeral on the television news at the time because my cousin, also from Kilmarnock and in the RHF at the time, was a pall-bearer.
