Also remembered on the Dalton War Memorial as CPO - RNAS.[/quote]

Is this the same man listed on Aberfeldy War Memorial, having died after 1919?

http://warmemscot.s4.bizhat.com/viewtopic.php?t=347

A lot of it seems to fit, I can't find a connection yet to Aberfeldy, though I do have a death certificate for a John Joseph MacDougall a plumber married to Jessie H? Menzies. This man died aged 39, at 14 Kenmore street Aberfeldy, on the 31st October 1920, of TB
Father Angus, mother Sarah MacDougall nee Kennedy

This conflicts with CWGC and Service record which states he died of Flu on 17/11/1918 at Military Hospital York

Any thoughts?

Mike

Mike - can't see this as being the same man. "Your" MACDOUGALL died post 1919 and is listed on the WM as A.M. (Aircraftsman?)
The MCDOUGALL (No "A") of New Abbey died in 1918 and was a Chief Mechanic (had been a Chief Petty Officer in the Royal Naval Air Service)
His war grave is at http://scottishwargraves.phpbbweb.com/viewtopic.php?t=983

Judging by the inscription on the gravestone he may have been a catholic and the forenames John Joseph are not uncommon.
