According to William Stanley, Land and Fleet Services, South Lanarkshire Council, the Cambuslang memorial did have plaques which were inscribed with the names of the fallen. The plaques were either vandalised, removed for refurbishment and lost or, they were stolen. This happened sometime in the early nineties. Thankfully details of the roll of honour were copied from the original plaques and are listed below. Many thanks to William Stanley for providing the information.

Great info, it's a shame that their names are not living forever.

Any chance of a photo turning of of the panels prior to their disappearance do you think?

Great find, John.
Spotted the Canadian Forester. I think this is he. Turns out to be a Dumfries-shire lad.

Name: FERGUSON, DOUGLAS
Initials: D
Nationality: Canadian
Rank: Private
Regiment/Service: Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment)
Unit Text: 27th Bn.
Age: 39
Date of Death: 22/11/1918
Service No: 186104
Additional information: Son of John and Mary Brown Ferguson, of 106, Main St., Cambuslang. Born at Sanquhar, Dumfries-shire.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: 4495.
Cemetery: CAMBUSLANG (WESTBURN) CEMETERY

The Canadian Great War Project has details of his death (pneumonia) and photos of his grave.

http://www.canadiangreatwarproject.com/searches/soldierDetail.asp?ID=40537

His death was registered in Windsor and the Base Camp of the Canadian Forestry Corps was in the Great Park but it's a bit odd that he's listed as 27th Bn. CIF
At enlistment he gave his DoB as 1882, but GRoS has 1879 which I think explains why some records have him as age 36.
