Great photos yet again John!

The two Durmans on the Govanhill Memorial - I wonder if they're related as it's not a common name?

In the 1901 Census, living at 6 Garturk Street, Gorbals (from transcription, so may not be completely accurate):

Head of Household: Mary E. Durman, age 35, born England
Son Joseph age 14, born England
Son Arthur age 12, born Ireland
Daughter Christina Durman, age 10, born Ireland
Son Frederick, age 8, born England
Daughter Nora, age 7, born Glasgow
Son William, age 6, born Glasgow
Son Frank, age 3, born Glasgow
Daughter Mariel (Muriel) , age 1, born Glasgow

In the 1891, the family were living at No. 2 Bell View Terrace, Kenton, Devon - Head of Household listed as Joseph Durman, age 35, Sergt. Major, 1st Devon Yeomanry, born Newbridge, Ireland.

Son Arthur's birthplace is confirmed as Ireland (Limerick).

In October 1921, Mary and son Frank crossed the border from Montreal, Canada to U.S. listed that the next of kin was listed as son Joseph Durman, 186 ....? Street, Glasgow.

She sailed 'home' to Canada on board S.S. 'San Bruno' (First Class) on 27th May 1923. Her marital status - widow, birthplace - England, citizenship - Canadian, religion - Presbyterian.

The objective of her journey was stated as 'Returning Home' to permanently reside in Canada. Her Canadian address was 46 Belgrave Avenue, Notre Dame de Grace and her visit had been to visit her married daughter.

Her first arrival in Canada was in November 1918.

I can't find anything on either Arthur or Frederick being abroad though?

Both give their mother at 186 Allison St. as next of kin on attestation papers. Frederick was born in Star Cross Devon.

I think this is William
